Applied Spine Technologies, Inc. was founded to develop the Stabilimax NZ^® System for treatment of chronic low back pain. The Company's Scientific Founder is Dr. Manohar Panjabi, a world-renowned professor at the Yale University School of Medicine who has published 267 original research papers and written two text books: Clinical Biomechanics of the Spine and Biomechanics in the Musculoskeletal System. He is acknowledged as an authority on spinal joint function and its implications for implants.
